Michal graduated from Presbyterian College, summa cum laude, before attending the University of South Carolina School of Law. After graduating law school, Michal practiced for over 20 years with a well-respected civil defense firm in Columbia. After litigating cases statewide for years, Michal decided to change the focus of her practice to probate administration so that she could have more personal interaction with her clients. She considers it a privilege to come alongside families as they navigate the probate process. While many find the probate process confusing and cumbersome, Michal finds the ability to untangle the confusion for families to be uniquely rewarding.
Michal maintains an AV peer-review rating from Martindale Hubbell®, which is the highest rating possible for both ethics and ability in the legal profession.
Michal and her family are actively involved in Mt. Horeb Church, where she is a member of lay leadership.
